If you want you can find out how to set the foundation for your successful future.
How we normally choose schools:
1) A friend of mine teaches us. Wonderful mysteries will hide this school where our friend we respect was assigned after winning a competition and applied to who knows how many other schools. The fact that you work on it will not bring any benefit or give us any special treatment. Criterion of choice Italian style derived from the common feeling that a more or less influential friend can make us have some kind of privilege. We often fall back on this line of action even when we are overcome by the laziness of informing ourselves on the didactic quality and facilities that that structure provides.
Before starting to study, it is good that we ourselves research what opportunities a school makes available to us and if it does not interest us…
2) All my friends go to that school. Since my friend will be attending the first of Garibaldi, I will also go to that class. Second declination of the rule of laziness, I have not inquired but if it is good for you, it will also be good for me. It is also much better to stay among people I know, after all, what will I ever discover by meeting new people?
Following friends is never a good choice, especially if it is the only reason that moves us. First of all, meeting new people brings new ideas, different people bring different points of view. Second, what is good for Camilla does not mean that it is also good for Giada. So, if at the end of all my evaluations, the school I have chosen is the same as my friend’s, so much the better, otherwise I will be better off continuing to attend it in the afternoon, after I have left the school that suits me best.
3) It is the closest to my home. Another theory of the postulate of Italian “mammonism” according to which a child lives better or learns better if this happens at the shortest possible distance from the mother’s house. Sometimes we justify this choice for logistical reasons “it’s more convenient”. Of course, we also take the car to go one kilometer from home, but if you have to stretch a bit for school or if your puppy has to manage it alone with public transport, it becomes a logistical problem. Whether it is in our city or away from it for the university, the distance from home cannot be the reason for choosing a school. The longest course of study is 5 years which is a rather short period compared to everyone’s life.
4) In that school they study less. This is a favorite, I don’t even know if it’s worth refuting! Every school aims to give training to do some kind of work, if you don’t have the will to do it to the best of your ability, you might as well not go there. If studying is not among your inclinations, try your way as soon as possible between training courses, internships, apprenticeship jobs. You will be doing a favor to teachers and those who want to study who will have one less dead weight in the classroom. But above all the most important thing is that you will make the right choice for you, avoiding wasting time and resources doing something you don’t like. Experiences lived with indifference never yield anything.
